Stein - Math 8 Plus - 3.22.17
What We Did Today:
Students went over the answers from Problem 3.2 and completed Problem 3.3-Spinning on a Grid: Coordinate Rules for Rotations. Students had to determine patterns between sets of ordered pairs as well as rotate a given figure on a coordinate plane. Notes for 3.3 are available at http://norupstein.weebly.com/math-8-plus-blog.
Focus Question:
What are the coordinate rules that describe "motion" of points on a grid under turns of 90° and 180°?

What We Did Today:
Students discussed Chapter 12, Section 2 and used a note-taking guide/summary sheet to help with summarizing skills. Students started reading Chapter 12, Section 3 in class. Students defined the bolded words in the section using the reading, not the glossary, to build familiarity with context.
