Math 8 - Stone

We spent some time reviewing our unit test today and learning about scientific notation.


Classwork: Discussion and demo of Newtons's 3rd law followed by an investigation. Ask your student what the 3rd law is all about!

Ramin - ELA

Today students wrote their introduction and conclusion paragraphs.

Essays are due Monday 12/12. I am available at lunch tomorrow if anyone would like to come in for help or for a quiet place to work. Please see me in the morning for a pass if needed.



Classwork: Continued investigating dilations.

Homework: Investigating dilations practice (in the notes).

Classwork: We read about acceleration due to gravity and free fall and took notes. Students answered review questions focusing on how gravity and mass can affect acceleration.

Homework: Solve 5 problems on mass vs weight assignment. Due Tuesday.

Individuals and Societies-Lyskawa

-Students reviewed 4.1 and began to work on 4.2 in class.
-4.2 terms and names are due tomorrow.
-The following questions for 4.2 are do as well:  What did you find interesting about this section?  What ideas inspired colonists to fight?  Who made these ideas?  Did these ideas help all colonists?
-We are having a chapter 4 test on Monday.
-The test questions are on Ms. Steins homepage.

Canvasser 12.6.16 Tuesday

RR ELA- Late logs are due today, if you did not turn one in you may do so tomorrow for late points. The new reading logs are due Monday ( 12.12.16) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must also complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.

RR Math- The red group can finish workbook pages ( week 2, day 1) if not completed in class. The blue worked on homework and test corrections. The signed homework packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Thursday ( 12.15.16) the math test will also be on Thursday ( 12.15.16) . Your notes, workbook pages, and homework packet are great study tools!
