Classwork

Today students worked on Investigation 2.3, A and B on page 26. Students had to draw as many lines as they could within a five by five dot grid. Students had to find the length of the line by constructing a square from the drawn line. Students used the slope to construct the squares and counted within the drawn square to find the area. 2.3A Notes are available at http://norupstein.weebly.com/math-8-plus-homework-and-answers

Geometry- Tuesday, April 26

Classwork: Used parallelograms made from portions of a circle to derive the formula for area of a circle.
 

Science- Tuesday, April 26

Classwork: Watched several videos and animations further demonstrating the concepts of pitch, volume, Doppler effect and sonic booms in class.

Third Hour RR English:  Pink group- do lesson 48 workbook page-due tomorrow.

Canvasser 4.26.16 Tuesday

RR ELA- If you did not turn on your reading log yesterday, you can do so tomorrow for late points. Your new reading log will be due on Monday (5.2.16) students should be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes ( five days a week). Do not forget to complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.

RR Math- Red group can finish day 4, if you did not finish in class. Your math packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Thursday (4.28.16) and your math test will be on Friday (4.29.16). Your workbook pages, notes, and math packet are great study tools!

Dixon Language & Literature

Classwork: Students continued publishing their journalism pieces.

Homework: Finish publishing and submit journalism pieces to Google Classroom if not done in class.
