Wednesday, October 2

Science: Today we continued practicing calculating speed, distance and time as well as how to complete a problem solving box. Homework is the complete the speed worksheet.  Our first quiz is on Friday!

Geometry: We continued practicing constructions, homework is to complete the construction packet. Quiz tomorrow on Pythagorean theorem and special right triangles!


Course 3: We took our quiz today.  No homework.


ELA - We will be starting our Science Fiction Unit next week so all students need to be done at least two books by the end of this week.  We will be reading and taking AR quizzes all this week. Homework: READ! Journal Entry #19.

Humanities: Students reviewed 4.1 and were introduced to 4.2 in the text. Homework is to complete 4.2 guided reading.

Corrective Reading: We are switching from reading to writing this week.  Reading logs and 5 different responses will still be due on Monday.

Resource Room Math:  Math packets due next Friday.

Spanish (Tomlinson):Work on flash cards -- due Friday.



Creative Writing: Today in Creative Writing we took AR quizzes in the media center, wrote from a journal prompt and read independently while searching for the signpost of contrasts and contradictions within individual novels. For those students finished with their novels, they worked on writing a theme sentence/intro paragraph for a literary essay.    Homework: Read your novel. Begin intro paragraphs for the literary essay. 

Spanish II: Use the review worksheets to study for the test on Tuesday. The answers will be on my blog by tonight. Look at the unit 3 worksheet tonight and put stars by the parts you don't know.

French I: Study your new words: the blue words on page 45 and make flashcards for them. You will have a quiz on these words on Monday.

Algebra:  Reminder that the IB assessment is due tomorrow along with worksheet 3.2/6.2 both attached.


Chinese: Students made correction on Dictation 2, and we began introducing China with handout and video.
