Tuesday, November 12

Science: Quiz on Newton's 1st and 2nd Law of Motion. No Homework.

Geometry: Continued studying rotations. Homework is the 9.4 worksheet (skip #13-16). Rotation quiz is tomorrow, Transformation test is Monday.

R. Room Math:  Packets are due next Friday 11.22.13

Corrective Reading:  Reading logs are due Monday.  We will continue to be working on writing an IVF summary the next few days in class before we get back to our reading.

Humanities: Today students finished watching the video about the American Revolution.  They then worked on 7.1 section assessment.  This is due tomorrow.


Spanish (Tomlinson): HW (from yesterday)-#4 and 5 on p.55. Re-take of Quiz-Wed at lunch (get lunch and meet me in media center). 1.2 Test--Nov. 22

ELA - Today we worked on our Conclusion Paragraphs.  All work is to be copied OUT of the journal and on to LOOSE LEAF paper for a rough draft due tomorrow.  We will be holding a Peer Edit tomorrow so all work needs to be on loose leaf paper. Publishing will be Thursday and Friday, with the final draft due on Monday.  The requirements for all 8th grade final drafts are as follows:
Typed
Double Spaced
1 inch margins
24-36 pt font for TITLE
12 pt font for BODY
 In addition to the content rubric, I will be assessing students on IB Criteria A.

Creative Writing: Today in creative writing we continued to research our topic and expand our thoughts in Writer's Workshop-Persuasive Essay. Read independently, looking for signposts and new vocabulary. Consulted with book clubs. Homework: Read


Pre-Algebra: ISN notes on Solving Equations with variables on both sides. HW: Multi-step equation solving worksheet (odds only)

Algebra: no homework tonight :(

Course 3: We worked on converting fractions, decimals, and percents.  Homework is evens on the worksheets given.  This looks like a lot of work but does not take long.
