Math 8 - Stone

Yesterday (Tuesday), we continued our discussion about swimming pools. We learned the formula for finding the area of a circle on Pi day.Our main focus was finding equivalent expressions.

Today (Wednesday), we reviewed writing expressions for perimeter and area. We spent a lot of time going over last night's homework. Tomorrow we will have our check up. It will cover perimeter, area, and the Distributive Property.

Today students received the outline for their literary analysis essay.

Geometry

Classwork- Started unit 7 - Circles, with an exploration of inscribed and central angles.

Science-Wilcox-Wednesday

Classwork: Today we reviewed questions from the last two sections of notes. We then had work time on our alarm circuits and sketches were checked.

Homework: Students need to finish the static electricity/St. Elmo's sheet by Friday, at the latest.

Electricity test on Tuesday, March 21. Study guide will be given out in class tomorrow and reviewed Friday. Jeopardy review will be Monday.

Spanish 2

Students learned about the Spanish siesta and worked on a review for Friday's test.

Homework: Unit 7 Practice Test on VHL (assigned yesterday), finish review packet if not done in class

Canvasser 3.15.17 Wednesday

RR ELA -The reading logs are due Monday ( 3.20.17) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must also complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.

RR Math- The red group can complete workbook pages ( week 4, day 2) if not finished in class, the blue group worked on homework and test corrections. The signed homework packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Thursday ( 3.23.17) the math test will also be on Thursday ( 3.23.17)

*Students need to bring their AR books to class and home daily!*

Individuals and Societies-Lyskawa

-Students turned in 11.3/11.4, reviewed for our open book test and began to take the test in class today.
-Our open book test will conclude tomorrow in class.
-Homework is to study for the test.
