Individuals and societies

-Students shared current events and concluded group meetings for our Eighth Grade Projects in class today.
-No homework.
-I hope everybody has a wonderful break and a very happy new year!

Classwork: Worked on the "Floodlight" problem and then more practice with solving problems of similarity.

Classwork: Using similarity to solve problems

Homework: Practice for using similarity to solve problems. I also passed out what we're doing tomorrow but it will not be due until after break.

Science- Thursday, December 17

Classwork: Went over the review in class so that students can use it to study for tomorrow's test.

Homework: Labs should be submitted by 5:00. STUDY PLEASE!!!!!

Classwork: Students found the mass of the objects they are using for the "Is the Force With You?" lab and also decided how many Newton's of force they will use in their experiment. They then used these measurements to finish writing their hypothesis.

8th grade P.E. Homework

 

Answer the following questions in essay form

  • Now that the weather is turning colder, how are you fitting in daily exercise?  Describe the activities you are doing and how often.
  • What activities influence you to be inactive?
  • What other kinds of healthy lifestyle choices do you incorporate into your daily routine?

Criteria

  • Essays should be informative.

  • 1-2 pages in length and in final draft form.

  • A typed paper is preferred but you may hand write.  Must be legible.

  • Double check your spelling.

     

    Papers are due on or before Tuesday, Dec. 8th.

     

    You may turn it in before the due date, but it will be late (lower grade) if not turned in when you come to class.

Students with completed rough drafts of their literary essays participated in a peer review and filled out a peer response sheet for a partner. Students without a completed rough draft worked on their drafts in class, and will need to make sure to complete this peer review with a partner outside of class.

 

Homework

Log into Google Classroom tonight to make sure that you are ready to use it in class tomorrow. Basically, make sure you haven't forgotten your password!!
