Friday, March 13

Pre-Algebra: We finished our "Which is the Orange-ist" activity.  Super impressive thinking.  Homework is some graphing of linear equations.

Algebra: We did an activity on exponential growth today.  The only homework is the equation solving worksheet (on Wednesday's) blog.  Check out the Screen Chomp below to review the 2 exit slip problems we did on Wednesday.  Have a great weekend. Here's my ScreenChomp video!

Science: Most classes worked on the "What is Safe?" project. 4th hour finished the notes and got the static worksheet (other classes got this earlier this week). Static worksheet is due on Monday.

Tech 8: Worked on brochures that are due Tuesday. They will have the hour Monday to work on them as well. Check edmodo.com for the rubric and additional information.

Geometry: Started to learn how to use the TI-Inspire calculators.

Humanities: Students checked 12.3 and current events in class. No homework.

ELA - Students were given the hour to read and catch up on AR books, just over a week to complete all 4 (3 independent books and TKM).  We will be doing a sample "on the spot" writing activity next week.  Please try and be sure your student is in school, as if they miss one day (Mon, Tues, and/or Wed) they will miss a crucial part of the instruction. Homework: READ!

Technology 8 - Orlando What we did today: Students found fun facts on what can be insured.  We then viewed some family budget projects from former students.  We will begin the family budget project on Monday. Homework: No homework. Discussion topics: What city do you hope to live in for the family budget project?

Spanish: Norup won the dance in Chicago thanks to AJ McBee and Brendan Radtke. Three cheers for our Spanish dancers!!

Course 3: We do not have homework today.
