Newton's Laws of Motion packet is due Monday, November 28.  Students need, also, to complete the graph for activity 2A and answer the questions through 2A:4C.  Enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Math 8 - Stone

Today we finished up investigation 4.3. We discovered patterns when making fractions into decimals (and vice versa) with fractions that have 9 or 11 in the denominator.

Homework: page 71 (8-18)

Quiz corrections are due Tuesday, November 29. Remember quiz corrections could be the difference between and A and a B.

Geometry

Classwork: Began exploring the Isosceles Triangles theorem and its converse. This wraps up our unit on congruence and triangles.

RR ELA- Pages 6-10 in your homophone packet is for homework tonight ( 11.22.16) due tomorrow ( 11.23.16). The entire packet will be due Monday ( 11.28.16)

Classwork
Students are currently in the planning stages of their literary analysis essay. Today we brainstormed thesis statements, and we will begin outlining/drafting next week.

Homework

- Read for an average of 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week

W 12/16: Reading goals halfway check

M 1/23: Reading logs due

W 1/25: AR points due

Canvasser 11.22.16 Tuesday

RR ELA- Reading logs are due  Monday ( 11.28.16) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.  Both groups took their grammar quiz today.

RR Math-  The red group can finish workbook pages ( day 1, week 3) if not completed in class. The signed homework packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Thursday ( 12.1.16) the math test will also be on Thursday ( 12.1.16). Your homework packet, notes, and workbook pages are great study tools!

-Students completed the Geo. Bee in school today.
-Students also turned in 4.2 packet and section assessment in class today.
-I will be out tomorrow and students will have to finish 4.2 section assessment and work on 4.3 section assessment in class.
-There will be no homework over break.
-I hope everybody has a happy Thanksgiving.
