Monday:

Monday:

We went over the unit test. The overall average in all classes was a B+. That is awesome!

We summarized the four functions we have discussed this year (linear, exponential, inverse variation and quadratic). This will help prepare you for the midterm.

We will be reviewing all week, in addition to working on solving quadratics.

Tuesday:

In our warm up we reviewed finding a linear equation when given two points in preparation for the midterm.

We also worked on finding the solutions to quadratic equations with a calculator (in the table) and by using the zero product property in the equation.

Spanish 2

Students took notes on verbs like gustar.

Homework: Pg. 80

Gustar Verbs Quiz: Tuesday, March 14

Stein - Math 8 Plus - 3.7.17

What We Did Today:

Students completed Problem 2.2: Supporting the World: Congruent Triangles I. Students used measurement of sides and angles to decide if pairs of triangles were congruent. If the triangles were congruent, students needed to identify corresponding vertices as well as give a sequence of transformations that would make the figures overlap. Notes are available at http://norupstein.weebly.com/math-8-plus-blog

Focus Question:

How much information do you need to decide that two triangles are probably congruent or not congruent? How do you go about planning transformations that 'move' one triangle onto another?

Homework:

None.
