Sept. 23

Science: Today we began learning how to use the cars on the tracks and began collecting data for mini-lab 1-A. Lab corrections are now due on Tuesday, September 29.

Geometry: Today we took notes on section 1.6 (polygons) and learned how to construct congruent segments as well as how to bisect segments using only a compass and a straightedge. 1.6 worksheet is homework. Chapter 1 test Tuesday, September 29.

Course 3: 1.1-1.4 Quiz and then Algebra Tile homework if not finished in class

Pre Algebra: No homework unless Algebra Tile Activity was not finished in class

Algebra: 1.7 homework for Hour 1, Study for Ch.1 test on Friday for ALL hours.

Algebra 2: 2.1 Homework

Humanities: Folders due Friday. ***Quiz postponed until next Friday, October 2nd.***

Language Arts: Journal #9 - Describe how being blind would change your life.
Finished up reading/test taking strategies. HW: finish journal entry. Students should also finish the writing prompt on pg 23 in their practice books, answer the questions from reading selection #7 (questions 48-52) and pg 60-61 answer the questions 53-62. We will discuss the HW in class tomorrow and start on our first Unit, Poetry.


Journalism: Students worked with their groups, preparing ways to contact their guest they would like to have come and speak to our class. Why do they want that person here? How is the letter going to sound? How are they going to get the contact information and who is going to get it...etc. HW: working on their contact information.
