Math 8 - Stone

Today, we reviewed substituting part of an equation when we went over the homework. In investigation 2.2 we practiced using elimination with the help of sketches. It was a lot like the "coins and pouches" lessons from Math 7.



 

Geometry

Classwork: Began unit 10 - Three Dimensional Figures & Volume by exploring rotations of 2 dimensional figures to create 3 dimensional figures.

Homework: Practice #9-19

Classwork
Students checked in with their book clubs and continued reading their historical fiction novels.

Homework
Finish your historical fiction novel if you haven't already. Be ready for the quiz in class tomorrow!

Spanish 2

Students went over Unit 8 Tests and discussed options for next year (retaking Spanish 2 or moving on to Spanish 3). They also practiced vocab. for tomorrow's quiz.

Happy Monday!

RR ELA- Reading logs were due today! If you did not turn one in, you may do so tomorrow for late points. The new reading logs are due Monday ( 5.15.17) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must also complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.

RR Math- The blue group can complete the workbook pages ( wk 3, day 2) if not finished in class. The signed homework packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Tuesday ( 5.16.17) the math test will also be on Tuesday ( 5.16.17). Students homework packet, notes, and workbook pages are great study tools!
