* 8th Graders took the Science MEAP in the morning and had 1st & 2nd hours in the afternoon.
Science (1st Hour): Played Jeapardy review and worked on review that is due on Thursday. For the review, complete sentences or problem solving boxes are required, the review is found on page 24- Understanding Vocabulary (#7-13), Reviewing Concepts (#8, 10-15, 20, 21, 24 & 25) & Solving Problems (#3-5 & 8-10). The Unit 1 test is scheduled for Tuesday, October 26.
Geometry: 3.2 Graphing calculator activity (graphing parallel lines and transversals) and 3.1 notes (Pairs of lines and angles). 3.1 worksheet is homework.
Algebra: 2nd and 4th hours p.372 (4-32 evens). 5th hour is worksheet 3.2/6.3. There will be a quiz over sections 3.1-3.4/6.1-6.3 next week. 10/27 for 2nd and 4th hours, 10/26 for 5th hour
Pre-Algebra: We finished discussing lesson 2.3, distributive property and like terms, homework-worksheet 2.3, 2-7 simplify, 8 * 16 all.
Social Studies: Students discussed current events, corrected 4.3 and worked on 4.4 in class. Homework is to complete 4.4 section assessment. Current events due "C" and "F" days. Quiz and homework folders due Friday.
LA: Today in class: Students discussed "Nothing but the Truth" . They started working on their poetry project which is due 10/26, Attached is the assignment with the rubric. They were provided with example books, and materials to use if they choose to do so. HW - read Pg 40-82 in NBTT by 10/21, study for poetry quiz which is this Friday 10/22
Technology - last day of Makeup...everyone should be caught up as I haven't seen any students in at lunch time...The Internet Scavenger Hunt is the biggest assignment due to date.
