All hours: Unit 4 note packets on electricity were passed out to students today. Mid-term exams will be reviewed on Thursday, and classes will begin their first electricity investigation.

Math 8 - Stone
Welcome back! We finished up investigation 3 today. In investigation 3.4 we focused on determining whether or not a function is quadratic by looking at the table. We discovered when you take the second differences of the y-values (subtract the consecutive y-values, then subtract again) the same number results. This can help us determine that the function is quadratic and conversely, if we know the function is quadratic, we can fill in the data table.
Homework: page 55 (17-24)
Science-Wilcox-Wednesday
Classwork: Today we reviewed answers to the midterm exam. We then started reading about electricity and taking notes. Extra copies of note packets are in the science folder on the blog and we read pages 298-301. Please try to keep up if you are absent!

RR ELA- Reading logs were due today ( 2.22.17) if you did not turn one in, you may do so tomorrow ( 2.23.17) for late points. There will be no new reading log this week! There will be a grammar quiz on Friday ( 3.3.17)
RR Math- The blue group can complete workbook pages ( week 2, day 3) if not finished in class. The signed homework packet and multiplication sheet are due on/before Monday ( 2.27.17) the math test will also be on Monday ( 2.27.17)
*Students need to bring their AR books to class and home daily!*
