Oct. 14

Science: Today we collected data for the "How Fast Am I?" lab. We will work on graphing and writing the rough draft the rest of the week as well as next week. Peer review of rough drafts is Wednesday, October 21 and the final draft of the lab is due Monday, October 26.

Geometry: Went over the practice test. Chapter review odds are "homework". Students can work on this after MEAP tomorrow, so they do not have to finish it at home tonight. Chapter 2 test Friday.

Algebra: 3.3 Homework

Algebra 2: Went over factoring with a coefficient of "a" greater than 1.

Pre Algebra: Went over combining like terms. No homework

Course 3: No homework

LA - We worked on Cinquains, and Formula poems. HW: working on their poetry booklets which are due 10/26 Monday. IMPORTANT** - reading counts quizzes must be taken on or before the end of the day Friday 10/16! If students fail to accomplish this task it is a quiz grade of zero. Students had close to 5 weeks to read their books and take the quiz on their own.

Journalism - Students read an article in the Washington Post and discussed the contents of the article. Mr. LaFramboise class learned about technology. NO HW.

Spanish 1: Please finish the workbook exercises from the photocopies of pages 22-24. Page 22#14 and 23#16 and 17 for tomorrow and 24#19, 20, 21 for Friday. The chapter test will be about a week after the MEAP finishes, so keep working on vocabulary!

Spanish 8: The kids are turning in illustrations and speaking lines from a text about the explorers of the New World. I handed out a study guide for a test on Friday. They can use the answers from the study guide for the test, so they need to fill out the questions as completely as possible.
