Stein - Math 8 Plus - 2.28.17

What We Did Today:

Students went over the answers to the review packet to prepare for Check Up 1. This will be an open-note quiz over Investigation 1. The quiz will be on Thursday, March 2.

 

For the quiz, students need to be able to:

  • Construct a figure over a line of reflection

  • Construct a translation on a coordinate grid

  • Find the point of rotation

  • Find the number of degrees a figure has been rotated

     

    Homework:

Stein - Individuals & Societies 8 - 2.28.17

What We Did Today:

Students drafted their essay for the assessment this Thursday.

 

Big Ideas:

  • The growth of voting rights and the election of Andrew Jackson signaled the growing power of the American people.

  • Andrew Jackson's presidency was marked by sectional and political conflicts.

  • The Jackson Administration supported a policy of Native American removal.


Homework:

There is a Chapter 10 Assessment Thursday, March 2. This will be a closed-note, five paragraph essay. The essay will be written in class. The essay needs to answer the question, "Was Andrew Jackson a good president?" with three main pieces of supporting evidence. Science-Wilcox-Tuesday

Class work: Students read and took notes on Ohm's Law and resistance.

Homework: Ohm's Law calculations due Thursday.

Canvasser 2.28.17 Tuesday

RR ELA- Reading logs are due Monday ( 3.6.17) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must also complete the short reader's response sections, along with having a parent signature for all five days. The grammar quiz will be on Friday ( 3.3.17)

RR Math- The red group can complete workbook pages ( week 3, day 1) if not finished in class. The blue group worked on test and homework corrections.

*Students need to bring their AR books to class and home daily*!
*AR half way points are due soon!*

Individuals and Societies-Lyskawa

-Students continued to prepare for our test this Thursday.
-The test will be an essay exam.
-Students should write five (3-5 sentence) paragraphs.
