Science: Today we went over the test review/study guide for Tuesday's test. Homework is to study!
Geometry: Shared our conditional advertisements/slogans and 3.1 notes. 3.1 worksheet is homework.
Humanities: Students took AR quizzes (almost there with 4 class periods left of 1st marking period) and studied for their The Giver 11-15 quiz. New Vocabulary words were posted in the room and on my Berkley Schools website. Quiz was taken, Illustrations and publishable pieces were turned in. Homework: READ! Next week's chapters are 16-19 due to short week - Chapters are due for class discussion by WEDNESDAY! Quiz will be on Thursday or Friday due to the short week/days for Parent Teacher Conferences.
Art 7/8: Aluminum tooling project is coming to an end. Students have cut their own frames using exacto knives, designed frames completed them by using colored pencils and the layering technique. Grading rubrics have been discussed. These projects are due by next Tues. at the end of class.
Advanced Art Grade 8: "Flower Puns" have been graded and many are displayed in the front showcase. They are stunning! We are beginning a project called "Shattered Values." Students are now choosing their subject matter. They will complete a simple line drawing on a 6" x 9" paper. Then, using the grid transfer method, will transfer their drawing onto a larger sheet of paper. (12" x 18")
