Tuesday, November 11

Science:Continued discussing Newton's 2nd law, homework is to complete the Newton's 2nd Law worksheet. For #5 students will have to look up acceleration due to gravity. Tomorrow we will start planning our next inquiry lab, and students will work on this for the remainder of the week and into next week. Students who are absent on Friday will be missing data collection :( Quiz on the 1st and 2nd law on Thursday.

Geometry: Took the composite over intersecting lines quiz, students need to finish the quiz for homework.

RR English:
Read every evening
Reading log is due Monday, November 17

RR Math:
A section of math should be completed each night

ELA- Students continued their Literary Analysis with Day 2 of Writer's Workshop. We explored themes and looked for evidence to support our theme, if there was not enough evidence to support the theme, we thought about changing our focus. Homework - Journal entry 2.8 - Read - FYI - we set our reading goals for this marking period last week. Students should be reading toward their own personal goal.

Pre-Algebra: Today we went to the computer lab. We worked on Solving One-Step and Two-Step Equations with positive, negative and decimal coefficients. There is no homework.

Spanish: WHAT WE DID TODAY: Today, we practiced the 'La Clase' portion of the Chapter 2 vocabulary list. Attached is the puzzle we worked on. Please download and complete if you were not in class today. TAREA: Study for Vocabulary Quiz tomorrow (Phone a Friend)

8th grade P.E. Homework:
 Answer the following questions in essay form
·       Now that the weather is turning colder, how are you fitting in daily exercise?  Describe the activities you are doing and how often.
·       What activities influence you to be inactive?
·       What other kinds of healthy lifestyle choices do you incorporate into your daily routine
Criteria
Ø Essays should be informative.
Ø 1-2 pages in length and in final draft form.
Ø A typed paper is preferred but you may hand write.  Must be legible.
Ø Double check your spelling.

Papers are due on or before Monday, November 17You may turn it in before the due date, but it will be late (lower grade) if not turned in when you come to class.
