English - Kennedy

Students had time in class to read and sticky note their Sign posts this week.  Today after seeing how we pull meaning from these sticky notes students were assigned a journal entry as their Independent Practice in which they chose two sticky notes and then explained what they meant.  This helped them think more deeply about their reading and understand the author's purpose.  This was graded as a classwork/exit slip.  They showed me their entry and they received credit. There are no make ups for this assignment unless the student was late.
