Sept. 16

Science: Student's peer reviewed lab write-up's today. Final labs are due on Friday.

Geometry: Finished 1.3 notes (midpoint formula) and began 1.4 notes (angles). Completing 1.3 worksheet is homework. 1.1-1.3 quiz on Friday.

Algebra: Ch. 1, Section 4 on Writing and Solving Equations and Inequalities. Homework listed on Assignment sheet.

Pre Algebra: Ch. 1, Section 4 on ordering integers. Quiz tomorrow, Thursday.

Course 3: Played investigating Algebra game. Went over translating verbal phrases. 1.3 Homework listed on stamp sheet.

Algebra 2: 1.7 Homework. Test on Friday.

Humanities: Make a list of what you know about the United States Constitution.

Language Arts: Journal#5: If you could watch only one hour of television a week, what would you watch? Why? Students continued to discuss and review "Test Reading Strategies" as well as "Question Answer Strategies" HW: Students should have their journals up to date. Also students will be taking their summer reading counts quiz in the media center Thursday Sept 17th.

Journalism: Students worked on their rough drafts, "Personality Profile" interviews. They also peer edited each others papers. HW: finish rough drafts and start on the final paper.

Spanish 1: Please finish labeling the blank map of the Americas and memorize the first sentence of the paragraph below. The full paragraph is below:

Hoy es el día cuando celebramos la ratificación de la constitución en el año 1787. La nuestra es la constitución escrita más vieja y corta del mundo. ¡Sólo tiene 4.400 palabras!


(Today is the day when we celebrate the ratification of the constitution in the year 1787. Ours is the oldest and shortest written constitution in the world. It only has 4400 words!)
