Greer - 8th Grade Science

Greer - 8th Grade Science
All hours:  The quest was moved to Friday to provide an extra day for the students and I to make sure that we were on the same page following my leave.  Mid-term reviews are due Monday, February 13.

Math 8 - Stone

Day 2 of graphing went pretty well! We reviewed the two graphs from homework last night and tried out two more together. We also created a list to summarize how to graph a quadratic (parabola) when only given the equation.

Our quiz is next Tuesday!

Stein - Math 8 Plus - 2.9.17

What We Did Today:

Students finished Problem 1.1, Butterfly Symmetry: Line Reflections. Students confirmed their conjectures of relationships between a line of reflection and the line segments drawn from an original vertex to their reflection vertex. Students used their generalizations to construct the reflection of a given figure. Notes and vocabulary are available at http://norupstein.weebly.com/math-8-plus-blog

Focus Question:

What does it mean to say that a figure has flip or reflectional symmetry? How is each point related to its image under transformation by reflection in a line?

Homework:

None.
