Math 8 - Stone

We learned how to graph inequalities today. It is a lot like graphing linear equations. Remember if it is "greater than" or "less than" it is a dotted line. When it is "greater than or equal to" or "less than or equal to the line is solid".

When deciding where to shade for each inequality, we picked a point on either side of the line and plugged it into the inequality. If the point made the inequality true then we shaded in the side the point was on. If it was false, we shaded in the opposite side of the line.

The solution for the system of inequalities was located in the area on the graph where both or all three inequalities had shading together (in my notes from class it is the dark pencil shading).

QUIZ CORRECTIONS DUE Monday! Pajama day is also on Monday.
