PE assignment 1/11/17

8th grade assignment
Pick one of the following assignments to complete by Jan. 18th.
Assignment #1
TABATA is 20 seconds of maximum intensity followed by 10 seconds of lower intensity (repeated a minimum of 4 times.)

Assignment
•    Create a 4 minute tabata routine using eight 30-second intervals (20 seconds high intensity, 10 seconds low intensity).
•    Four different movements 2 times or 8 different movements are allowed. Your workout must include cardio, muscular strength and muscular endurance movements. Be creative!!
•    Groups are limited to no more than three people. A written copy of your workout must be given to your teacher prior to your performance of the routine.
This homework is due on Wed., Jan 18th.
The assignment may be submitted before the due date, but it will be late (lower grade) if not turned in when you come to class.

Answer the following questions
Experts recommend that teens get 60 minutes or more of moderate to vigorous activity every day. 
·         Describe some of the activities you are doing.  How often?  How long? Are you meeting the recommendation of 60 minutes a day?
·         What activities influence you to be sedentary (not active)?
·         What are some other healthy lifestyle choices do you incorporate into your daily routine?
Criteria
·         1 – 2 pages in length.
·         Double check your spelling.
·         A typed paper is preferred but you may hand write it. A hand written paper must be in blue or black ink. Must be legible.
This homework is due on Wed., Jan 18th.
You may turn it in before the due date, but it will be late (lower grade) if not turned in when you come to class.
