Spanish I: First part of the Spanish final is tomorrow: reading comprehension, multiple choice and verb conjugations.
ELA: We finished "The Outsiders" and then discussed the themes for the book/movie. We then reviewed theme and how to find it in a piece of text. We will continue this study tomorrow.
Tech: The video is finished! I will be taking it to the production house this afternoon and will be handing them out after graduation practice on Tuesday! PHEW! We will have a guest teacher tomorrow - Gordie Mlynarek will be talking about Photoshop and we will be morphing our faces!

Pre-Algebra: We continued to review for our final exam. It is Thursday, June 7th.
ELA: Finishing up "The Outsiders" and will compare it to "West Side Story", practice with Characterization and finding details in comparing and contrasting texts.
Tech: ALMOST done! I should have the final DVD to the production house either this evening or in the AM. DVDs will be handed out to all 8th graders on Tuesday when they have finished their Graduation Practice. Phew! We will be working in Photoshop for the rest of the year. Science: Went over the final exam review and discussed how best to study for the exam. Study hints include 1) Go over quizzes & tests from units 4-6 (Electricity, Waves/Sound and Light/Electromagnetic Spectrum) and 2) Have someone quiz you on the review questions. Final exam is tomorrow!
Geometry: Went over the final exam review. Homework is to complete the cumulative review on pages 866-867. Final exam is Wednesday, June 6.
Spanish I: Work on oral and written prompts for the final on Friday June 8th. Turn it in when done, or email to franciscaroth@yahoo.com for corrections.

Art 7/8: Students continue to finish their Piet Mondrian inspired monochromatic paintings this week. We will end the school year with the students drawing a design for the Norup "Fun Run" shirt for next school year. These drawings will be submitted to Mrs. Meachum. She will pass them on to the PTSA. Let's hope one gets chosen for the t-shirt next year!
Advanced Art grade 8: Students will complete their Picasso inspired monochromatic chair collage paintings this week. Portfolios also arrived today from the high school!
ELA: We watched the beginning of "The Outsiders". We will finish tomorrow and do a year end review on Wednesday - Friday.
Tech: We were bounced from the MYP lab for mandatory testing, then bounced from another room. Hoping we will be able to complete the video in time to have it produced.
