MEAP STARTS NEXT WEEK! Help your student be prepared by making sure they get a good night's sleep, eat breakfast and get to school on time! Students will MEAP with their first hour classes in the morning. The afternoon will consist of a speed schedule so that every class meets every day for a shortened period of time.

Science: Today we finished analyzing the distance/time & speed/time graphs we made from our data collection. We also practiced making prediction based on these graphs. Students should be prepared to do research tomorrow and ready for data collection Wednesday for "How Fast AM I?".
Geometry: Took the 2.1-2.4 quiz. 2.5 Notes for homework. Chapter 2 test will be Friday, October 16.
Algebra: Ch.2 Test tomorrow

Course 3: 2.1 Homework
LA - #19 - Write 1. Limerick, 1. Quiet and 1. Onomatopoeia poem. Students took the subject/predicate quiz and turned in the grammar packet that went along with it for a homework grade. Students worked on a sensory poem in the "Making Sense" book. HW - none - just make sure they are up to date on their daily journals and are finishing up their reading counts books. Last day to take the quiz is Oct 16th.
Journalism: Students learned technology skills. We Skyped with Mr. Laframboise class. HW - none.
Spanish 1: There is an oral quiz over the answers to the quesitons about pp 52-53 on Wednesday. To prepare, please rewrite the answers in a visually interesting fashion (using color, shapes, etc.). This is due Monday.
Spanish 8: Please do the translations of the first six sentences about the Spanish explorers using the sheet entitled "La edad de exploración." Some of you might be memorizing some of these sentences, while others just need to recognize the words and information.
