Monday, September 15

Science: Today students read on took notes on distance and time units. 

Geometry: Discussed angles and how to copy & bisect angles. We also investigated distance with more challenging problems & quizzes were returned. Students may do quiz corrections for partial credit- corrections must be on a separate sheet of paper and include explanation. Homework is the angles handout.

French 2: Quiz on the passé composé this Thursday. A practice one is on my blog.

RR English: Reading logs are due today. If you did not turn it in, please turn it in tomorrow for late points- better than a zero! Your new log was passed out today, and all five days are due Monday 9/22/14.

RR Math: You will have a test this Friday- study. Your homework packet is due on or before this Friday as well. Please see me during lunch if you have questions.

Pre-Algebra: Today we took notes over 1.3, reviewing order of operations and use of exponents. There is a quiz over 1.1 - 1.3 this Friday, 9/19. The homework is 1.3 Practice A, 1-25 odd. The notes and homework are available at http://norupstein.weebly.com/pre-algebra-notes-and-homework .

Algebra: We finished our discussion on classifying numbers (whole, integer, rational, real). Homework: worksheets 2.2/2.3 multiples of 3 both sides. 

Humanities: Students reviewed grades and were introduced to the "meeting of the two worlds" in class. No homework.

ELA - Students took their Chapter 1 Grammar Quiz today. We then set up our journals and added our Reader's Workshop Teaching Points from last week. I demonstrated how to enter table of contents entries. Homework: Journal entry 1.6 & Read
