Math 8 - Stone

Today, we started investigation 5.1, which focuses on ratios. Be careful, ratios can be trickier than they appear.


Classwork/homework: Page 119 (1-14, 16, 18)
 

Geometry

Unit 1 Test! Students need to complete the construction portion of the review, if they haven't already done so, for homework.

Science-Wilcox

Classwork: Reviewed notes from yesterday regarding units and distance/time graphs. Discussed speed, how to calculate speed and the relationship between distance, speed, and time. Reviewed problem solving boxes and practiced graphing independent vs. dependent variables.

Homework: Quiz moved to Friday, October 14th because of the Fun Run on Thursday during various class times. Quiz will be open note, 25 points, with corrections.

Ramin - ELA

Students have begun reading The Giver by Lois Lowry as part of our unit on science fiction. A workshop & reading schedule has been posted to Google Classroom for reference.

Canvasser 10.11.16 Tuesday Update

RR ELA- Grammar Quiz will be on Friday (10.14.16)  Study!

Canvasser 10.11.16 Tuesday

RR ELA- Reading logs were due yesterday, if you did not turn one in you may do so tomorrow for late points. The new reading logs are due Monday (10.17.16) students should be reading for a minimum of 30 minutes for five days a week. Students must also complete the short reader's response section, along with having a parent signature for all five days.

RR Math- Students worked on their homework packet and test corrections.

Individuals and Societies-Lyskawa

-Students checked 3.3 and began to work on 3.4 in class.
-Students should have had time to make good progress on 3.4 in class.  There will be some time to finish on Thursday, if students do not have time to complete the assignment at home due to the holiday.
