Math 8 - Stone

It was so wonderful meeting so many parents at conferences. 20 students visited Mrs. Graham during lunch today and in class there was participation all around! The students are showing they are fired up to learn.

Today, we completed Investigation 2.2. We spent time using strategies to find the square root of numbers that are not perfect squares. We did this without using a calculator to prepare for our quiz next week.

Homework: Page 29 (5-7)

Next Friday is the end of the marking period. We will have two opportunities to improve our grades. We will have an Exit Ticket on the first 12 perfect squares and we will have our first quiz for this unit on Investigation 2. Remember, we will not be using a calculator or notes on the quiz. We will be practicing in class so make sure you are on task!

Have a great weekend!
