Geometry: Continued reflections over intersecting lines- watch the video and then complete the homework.

Humanities (Visit yesterday's blog for a video message from Mr. Lyskawa!): Students reviewed "Declaration Questions," and began to write scripts for our "Declaration Project" due Monday. Homework is to complete the scripts for Monday.

RR English: Read every evening; Reading log is due Monday, November 10, parents must sign reading logs
 
RR Math: A section of math should be completed each night

ELA - Students reviewed their Pronouns and prepared for their Pronoun quiz on Monday.  Please remember to read your text pack and choose a short story to use for your Literary Essay over the next few weeks. Have a great weekend.

Chinese: Hanzi writing as homework this weekend.  Please check the class blog for detail.

Algebra:  No homework!  Today we tied up loose ends-handed in our graphing packets and PSW.








Thursday, November 6

Science: Took notes on acceleration and discussed how acceleration is different than speed. Homework is the acceleration practice.

Humanities:  Mr. Lyskawa recorded a video to describe what's going on in humanities, watch it here!  -Students reviewed 4.2 and were introduced to our "Declaration Project" in class today. Homework is to answer the following questions in preparation for our skits on Monday: Identify the 5Ws of the Declaration.
-What are the three main ideas in the Declaration (p. 119)?
-What are the arguments for freedom found in the Declaration (3 min.)?
-How did people feel about the Declaration? What are the documents strengths or weaknesses?

Pre-Algebra: Today we took the Chapter 2 Test. No homework.

French 2: Study 10.2 vocabulary, Exercises on pg 314-315 are due on Monday

ELA - Students graded their Grammar from last night, a very easy assignment but very important to their writing skills. We then worked on Grammar 3.9 and 3.10 - Pronoun Problems. This is due for tomorrow. Students should be reading through their Literary Essay Text Packet and have a short story chosen to use for their Literary Essay. Please be sure it is a story that the student can connect with, this will help them analyze the story if they can connect. Homework: Grammar 3.9-3.10, Journal Entry #2.4, READ! Grammar Quiz on Pronouns on Monday.

Chinese: Test next Friday, Nov 14. Details please check the class blog.

Geometry: Took our group quiz on reflections over parallel lines. No homework. 

Spanish: WHAT WE DID TODAY: We practiced conjugating 'ar' verbs, then worked on an 'ar' verb puzzle. Most of the 'ar' verb definitions can be found on page 51 in our textbook. Please see below for definitions of verbs not listed on page 51. Also, see the link to the 'ar' verb puzzle in this post. On the back of the puzzle, students wrote 12 sentences using a conjugated form of each verb. TAREA (Homework): Finish the 'ar' puzzle and sentences if you didn't finish it in class. Tomorrow we meet in the PYP lab for our class.
