Sept. 22

Science: 1-5th hour did their first "jigsaw" note-taking. 6th & 7th hour continued with lab 1-A: looking at how to produce constant speed on a track. Most students got their labs back and all corrections are due on Friday.

Geometry: Went over 1.5 notes, 1.5 worksheet is homework. Chapter 1 Test will be Tuesday, September 29.

Algebra: 1.7 Homework for hours 4 and 6. 1.6 Day 2 homework for Hour 1

Pre Algebra: 1.5 Homework

Course 3: Quiz tomorrow and 1.1-1.4 Review

Algebra 2: 2.1 homework

Humanities: Current event due tomorrow (Wednesday). Folders due Friday. Quiz (meeting of three worlds) on Friday.

LA: Journal #8: Write a paragraph that includes 20 double vowel words. (ex. needle, good, mushroom). Continued with test taking strategies, should be done with this by Thursday or Friday at the latest. The first unit I will be covering is Poetry. HW: finishing up their journals and reading their books.

Journalism: Assigned groups to work on bringing speakers in to the classroom to interview. HW: contact information, and why they feel this person should come and talk to our class.

Spanish 1: The unit 1, chapter 1 test will be Thursday, October 1. The students received a sheet with the sections of the exam so that they know how to prepare. For Thursday they are charged with memorizing the sentences from the Quiz practice sheet. I will hand out the correct sentences in class tomorrow.
Spanish 8: The students today heard a small lecture about the geography of Latin America. For tomorrow, they must label these features on the blank map of the Americas that was handed out in class.
