Geometry- Wednesday, November 4

Classwork: Reviewed the definition of rotation and how to identify 90 degree in the coordinate plane. Students then started working on the review/practice test.

Homework: Review/Practice Test. Find a copy in the math folder.

Discussion Starters: Rotate the point (7,5) 90 degrees from point (9,0). Don't forget there are two important aspects of rotations, the degree measure (use slope) and distance (use the distance formula).

Science- Wednesday, November 4

Classwork: Hours 2, 3 & 4 worked on the test review. Hours 5, 6 & 7 worked either on the final drafts of their labs or on the review.

Homework:  2nd & 3rd hour review due Friday. 4-7th  hours review due Monday. Hours 5, 6 & 7 labs due by 5:00 tomorrow.   Test is Monday for hours 2 & 3, Tuesday for hours 4-7. A copy of the review is in the science folder.

Discussion Starters: How easy was the review? If students knew most answers off the top of their head then they should feel prepared for the test, if not they should come and get some additional help at lunch.

Canvasser 11.4.15 Wednesday

RR ELA- Reading logs are due Monday (11.9.15)

Students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes (5 days a week)

*Do not forget the short reader's response section, along with a parents signature*  

RR Math- The homework packet is due on/or before Monday (11.16.15). The math test will also be on Monday (11.16.15)

The homework packet, workbook pages, and notes are great study tools!

Individuals and Societies

-Students checked 5.1 and began to work on 5.2 Geography Skills, Picture questions and Reading Checks (all found in book), in class.

-Homework is to finish the questions for 5.2 (including the additional question of "What troubles did the United States have with Britain after the Revolutionary War?").

-Current events are due Friday.

-Homework is to complete 5.1 section assessment and to explain what is the most important influence on the Constitution, and why.  Influences can be found on pages 156/157.
