Classwork

Students with completed rough drafts of their literary essays participated in a peer review and filled out a peer response sheet for a partner. Students without a completed rough draft worked on their drafts in class, and will need to make sure to complete this peer review with a partner outside of class.

 

Homework

Log into Google Classroom tonight to make sure that you are ready to use it in class tomorrow. Basically, make sure you haven't forgotten your password!!

F 1/29: AR points due (end of second quarter)

RR ELA- Reading logs are due Monday (12.7.15)

Students should be reading for a minimum of 20 minutes ( 5 days a week)

Do not forget to do the short reader's response section, along with a having a parent signature for all 5 days!

If you did not finish in class today, please remember that your rewritten rough draft is due tomorrow at the beginning of class. It should be neat, organized, and double spaced on a separate sheet of paper (not in your journal). 

Science- Tuesday, December 1

Classwork: Investigated collisions as an introduction to Newton's 3rd law.

Homework: None

Discussion Starters: How might understanding collisions and other physics topics help a police officer, forensic scientist, medical coroner (pathologist) or detective do their job?

Geometry- Tuesday, December 1

Classwork: Finished unit 3 with an exploration and discussion of the isosceles triangle theorem (also known as the base angles theorem).

Homework: Complete the practice on isosceles triangle theorem.

Discussion Starters: 3.5 & 3.6 quiz on Friday

Individuals and Societies

-Students reviewed 7.1 and began to work on 7.2 "Key Terms and People" (238) and Critical Thinking (242) in class today.

-Students should read 7.2 and work on the Terms and Critical Thinking for homework tonight.
