Writer's Workshop: Thematic Essay - Day 1. Students received text packs with 4 short stories included. We read through the first story ("All Summer in a Day" by Ray Bradbury) and identified signposts as a class. Students then began reading through the remainder of their text packs.

Announcement
This week students will meet with Mrs. Ramin to determine their second quarter reading goals. We will be using students' reading levels along with first quarter points earned to help determine this goal. As a reminder, students should be reading consistently at home for an average of 35 minutes a night.

New reading logs are due Monday (11.16.15)
Students should be reading a minimum of 20 minutes (5 days a week)
Do not forget the short reader's response section, along with a parent signature!
RR Math- The homework packet is due on/or before Monday (11.16.15)
The math test will also be on Monday (11.16.15)
