Pre-Algebra: We continued to review for our final exam. It is Thursday, June 7th.
ELA: Finishing up "The Outsiders" and will compare it to "West Side Story", practice with Characterization and finding details in comparing and contrasting texts.
Tech: ALMOST done! I should have the final DVD to the production house either this evening or in the AM. DVDs will be handed out to all 8th graders on Tuesday when they have finished their Graduation Practice. Phew! We will be working in Photoshop for the rest of the year. Taking pictures of ourselves and morphing them or taking a trip around the world via Google Earth!
Spanish I: Review for final on Thursday and Friday. Finish writing your oral and written prompts.

Science: Went over the final exam review and discussed how best to study for the exam. Study hints include 1) Go over quizzes & tests from units 4-6 (Electricity, Waves/Sound and Light/Electromagnetic Spectrum) and 2) Have someone quiz you on the review questions. Final exam is tomorrow!
Geometry: Went over the final exam review. Homework is to complete the cumulative review on pages 866-867. Final exam is Wednesday, June 6.
Spanish I: Work on oral and written prompts for the final on Friday June 8th. Turn it in when done, or email to franciscaroth@yahoo.com for corrections.
Pre-Algebra: We continued to review for our final exam. Our final is on Thursday, June 7th.
Algebra (Graham): Study! We took a practice final today. Tomorrow we will go over the answers. Final Exam is this Wednesday and Thursday!
Technology (Graham): We did course evaluations today. By Friday, Newsletters and Typing Web need to be complete.
Humanities: Students finished projects, received homework folder grades and worked on 19.1 in class. Homework is to finish 19.1 section assessment.
Art 7/8: Students continue to finish their Piet Mondrian inspired monochromatic paintings this week. We will end the school year with the students drawing a design for the Norup "Fun Run" shirt for next school year. These drawings will be submitted to Mrs. Meachum. She will pass them on to the PTSA. Let's hope one gets chosen for the t-shirt next year!
Advanced Art grade 8: Students will complete their Picasso inspired monochromatic chair collage paintings this week. Portfolios also arrived today from the high school!
ELA: We watched the beginning of "The Outsiders". We will finish tomorrow and do a year end review on Wednesday - Friday.
Tech: We were bounced from the MYP lab for mandatory testing, then bounced from another room. Hoping we will be able to complete the video in time to have it produced.

Mrs. Weiss introduced the 8th Grade Graduation Speech Contest in Language Arts today. Information attached. Speeches are due by the end of lunch on Monday, June 4th.
Science: Played final review jeapordy. Final exam review is due on Monday, June 4 (students will work on the review in class tomorrow). The final exam is Tuesday, June 5.

Science: Quests were returned and students had an opportunity to work on Quest corrections in class. Quest corrections are due tomorrow, click here for more copies of the corrections sheet! If students finished corrections they began working on the review, which will be due on Monday. Final exam is Tuesday, June 5.
Geometry: Went over the review packets and started filling out the formula sheets which we will continue tomorrow. Final exam is now on Wednesday, June 6.

Geometry: Chapter 9 tests were returned and we started reviewing for the final exam. Final exam review is due on Wednesday. Final exam is Monday, June 4.
