Science: Today we played jeopardy to review for the midterm. Roller coaster labs are due tomorrow and the science midterm is Monday. See yesterday's post for a copy of the study guide and review.
Geometry: Went over the 7.2 homework and reviewed solving quadratics (They're BAACCCKKK!). Took notes on section 7.3 (similar right triangles). 7.3 worksheet is homework. This chapter will be challenging and I have urged students to commit to spending lunches with me to get extra help with the homework.
Pre-Algebra: Students worked on a review today. It is all due tomorrow.
ELA: Students had their reader's journal checked for completion. We discussed the current chapter sections and reviewed the vocabulary. Quiz tomorrow on Chapters 1-6 and vocabulary.
Tech (Kennedy): We continued with Moodle the first assignment is due Friday - Nettiquette.

Science: Worked on the midterm review, if it is not finished in class then it is homework tonight. Science lab is due on Friday and the midterm is Monday, a study guide was also passed out today.
Geometry: Went over the 7.1 homework and had a GREAT time remembering how to solve systems of equations and quadratic equations! We then completed the 7.2 notes (converse of the pythagorean theorem), 7.2 worksheet is homework. Kitchen geometry project is due on Monday.
Pre-Algebra: Quiz today. No homework.
ELA: Students viewed Public Service Announcements and saw how they are used to give an opinion. We then wrote about an issue that bothered us and why. This was Day 2 of our Writer's Workshop on Persuasive Research. Homework: Finish Journal entry & TKM Journal chap 4-6, Quiz on To Kill a Mockingbird chap 1-6 Friday.
Tech -(Kennedy) Students were introduced to Moodle and the environment we will be working in this school year. Logins are soon to follow.

Spanish I: We went over the oral questions for the quiz in a few weeks. Keep these safe and study your answers every night. We also began a reading comprehension packet that is due Monday, Jan 30th.

Pre-Algebra: Today we worked on LCM again. Students were given a review on lessons 4.1 - 4.4. Quiz is Wednesday.
Humanities: Students reviewed 8.1 and 8.2 in class. We also introduced 8.3 and began to work on 8.3 guided reading. Homework is to complete 8.3 guided reading. Chapter 8 test is on Wednesday. We will have a review tomorrow.

Science: Students began building (hours 3-5) and collecting data for roller coasters (hours 6 & 7). We will continue with data collection and writing up the lab tomorrow, lab planner is attached. Our peer review will be on Tuesday, January 24 and the final lab will be due Friday, January 27. The science midterm will be Monday, January 30 (we will review next week).

Algebra (Hill): Practice all types of problems from chapters 1-6. Bring your book home. Midterm Exam begins tomorrow January 19th! Bring your calculator!
